Despite wall to wall fashion coverage this past month, it wasn’t until the penultimate day of the final week in Paris that I witnessed my favourite show – Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccoli for Maison Valentino.
Having studied ballet when I was younger, the design duo’s ode to modern dance brought back fond memories of my time in the studio. I loved how they styled these tutu inspired dresses with everyday sweaters and simple black leggings, and although this may not be everyday attire, what’s fashion without a little fantasy? Something now sorely missing from many of today’s street style-centric shows.
The hair and beauty added to the dance themed spirit of the occasion, with British make-up artist Pat McGrath creating these ‘Bare and Beautiful’ ballet ready looks…
Inspiring in more ways than one.
