This haunting black and white video titled ‘The Stranger’ was produced for Dazed Korea to accompany a fashion shoot of the same name. Featuring Serbian model Mina Cvetkovic and styled by Sung Hee Kim, the short film showcases pieces from the spring/summer collections.
Still loving those Calvin Klein body chains…..

Frills and frippery are not typical fashion favourites of mine, but styled with a bit of drama, grunge or deconstruction thrown into the mix and that’s a completely different story…
This ‘Day Dreams’ shoot by Craig McDean for W magazine, styled by Edward Enninful, is a case in point. Showcasing some of spring’s most feminine styles, the soft ruffles, lace and delicate floral pieces have been cleverly transformed by the boots, a bustier and beautiful black coats.
I would happily hang any of these outfits in my closet. There’s just that little matter of cost to contend with. Oh well, ‘Day Dreams’ in more ways than one…

Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2016
Inspired by Hedi Slimane’s ‘grunge tiara’, as sported by models on the Saint Laurent catwalk, here are a few of my favourite shots featuring headpieces with a regal flavour…

Vetements Spring/Summer 2016
There’s currently a buzz surrounding Parisian label Vetements, not least because the label’s ‘nominal head’ (Vetements operates as a design collective) Demna Gvasalia has just been appointed the new artistic director at Balenciaga.
Vetements fresh approach to fashion sees the label taking inspiration from current wardrobe staples and reworking them in new ways. And in their forthcoming spring/summer collection even the humble belt gets a make over.
Look closely at these catwalk shots and you’ll see that this most simple accessory has been restyled, and even left trailing. Great inspiration for taking a new look at those perhaps over familiar pieces hanging in our own closets…

This Instagram video edit of Vera Wang’s recent spring/summer 2016 show in New York is beautiful. I love how it captures the shimmer and shine against the black backdrop.

Having a runway show has become so much about the creation of imagery for online and social media and watching a filmed fashion show can be like watching a filmed play (which is never very satisfying). I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way that was designed from its inception to be presented online.
The transformation of the traditional Fashion Week show continues, as last week designer Tom Ford chose to present his spring/summer 2016 collection on film.
Directed by Nick Knight and starring Lady Gaga and a clutch of current model favourites, the release of the music video style film is further evidence of the industry putting fans on a similar par to the industry, in terms of immediate access to the catwalk.
But what about the clothes? Well, I have previously made my feelings known about Tom Ford’s own label fashions, but I have to say that this ‘rock chic’ collection includes several looks I’m currently coveting…
